About the role:

We’re looking for a passionate and data-driven Category Manager to take full ownership of their category — from strategy and curation to growth and profitability. You’ll build and scale your own vertical end-to-end, driving performance through the right product mix, traffic planning, and cross-functional collaboration. This role demands strong business acumen, an eye for trends, and the drive to build one of Vaaree’s next growth stories.

Responsibilities:

  • Run your own assigned category end-to-end— strategy, curation, growth, and P&L.
  • Own your category end-to-end — strategy, curation, growth, and P&L.
  • Build your vertical like an entrepreneur — manage selection, pricing, visibility, and performance.
  • Identify trends, whitespace, and underperforming products; optimize assortment for visibility and conversion.
  • Plan and execute traffic-driving initiatives across channels.
  • Collaborate with marketing, supply chain, operations, and partners to drive category success.
  • Source, negotiate, and onboard brands and manufacturers on competitive terms.
  • Run experiments, analyze results, and iterate to maximize growth and minimize operational issues.
  • Bring data, creativity, and ownership together to make your category one of Vaaree’s growth stories.


Requirements

  • 2–8 years of experience in Category Management, Buying, or Merchandising.
  • Strong strategic thinking with the ability to define and execute long-term category plans.
  • Skilled at influencing cross-functional teams and driving measurable results.
  • Comfortable owning key business and strategic decisions.
  • Able to work independently and manage complex category initiatives end-to-end.
